Another week in the storm. Let’s see what happened this weekend and today.
PSYCHOLOGISTS MARCH AGAINST DONALD TRUMP
Well, this is new. Over 100 psychologists and mental health professionals marched against Donald Trump in New York this past weekend, in an attempt to raise awareness about how wholly unfit he is.
I can’t say that I’m completely surprised by this. I’m not surprised at all that psychologists are trying to speak about against Trump and his Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and how his NPD could literally kill billions of people, but I am surprised that they marched. And they’re planning more across the country.
TRUMP CAMPAIGN PAID OVER A MILLION DOLLARS IN LEGAL FEES FOR PRESIDENT AND HIS FAMILY
From the “No Surprise” files, here comes another report of other people paying Trump’s legal bills. This time, it’s his slush fund he’s calling a reelection campaign. Over $1 Million was paid out in the last quarterly filing for his and Donnie Jr.’s legal fees.
So, next time he holds a rally, all those people buying MAGA hats and shirts, they’re paying his legal bills.
So far, his reelection campaign, the Republican National Committee, and the Mercers have paid about $2 Million in legal fees for Donald Trump and his family since May. That doesn’t include the legal fees of Mike Pence, Reince Preibus, Sean Spicer, or any of the other staffers or people involved.
BEWARE MIKE PENCE
I’m not sure who I’m more afraid of, Donald Trump or Mike Pence. They’re both evil, megalomaniac dick tacos that are living out delusions of grandeur. But while Donald Trump makes fun of his opponents, and even his friends, Mike Pence lies in wait.
Mike Pence was Paul Manafort’s pick for Vice President. He is tied at the hip to dark money, and was complicit in all of Trump’s actions with Russia.
Plus, Mike Pence is a slimy politician. A good one.
Don’t get me wrong, he’s a terrible person and an even worse pick to run this country. In any normal time, having the President say that you’d “like to hang the gays” should provoke people marching the street. Tonight, it doesn’t even get it’s own section.
He is skilled, capable, and quite possibly competent. He has the same, if not a worse agenda for America, but he might be able to pull it off.
SECRETARY OF COMMERCE WILBUR ROSS LEFT OVER $2 BILLION IN ASSETS OFF OF DISCLOSURE FORM
What is it this Cabinet and blatant corruption? Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross left over $2 Billion worth of assets off of his disclosure form when he joined the government. That billion, with a B.
Did he just randomly forget a couple billion dollars? No. He didn’t include his 19% ownership stake in the Bank of Cyprus that he earned for being one of the top two people in the bank.
If you’re wondering why that sounds familiar, think back to Daily Check-In 10/13/2017 where I talked about Paul Manafort laundering $60 Million from Oleg Deripaska. Half of that money came through the Bank of Cyprus on Wilbur’s watch. That wasn’t the only time Russian Money suspiciously passed through his bank.
MEMO FROM JUNE 9 MEETING – NO MENTION OF ADOPTIONS, ONLY SANCTIONS
Natalia Vesilniskaya released a memo of her notes from the June 9th meeting in Trump Tower with Donnie Jr., Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort. You know, the one that didn’t happen, then was about adoptions, then was about dirt on Hilary?
According to her notes, it was about sanctions and rescinding the Magnitsky Act. This is the law that puts sanctions on individuals that violate human rights across the globe, originally targeting Putin and his allies, named for Bill Browder’s attorney, Sergei Magnitsky. If the sanctions are lifted, the Russian Oligarchs will gain access to about $1 Trillion in frozen assets. That Trillion with a T. A thousand Billion. $200 Billion of that is Putin’s.
So, the Russians meet with Trump’s team to get sanctions lifted. That’s the Quid. I wonder the Quo was?
RUSSIAN TROLLS WATCHED “HOUSE OF CARDS” AS RESEARCH TO UNDERSTAND AMERICAN POLITICS, NOW FOLLOWING ROY MOORE
If this whole saga felt like a reject script from House of Cards, maybe because the participants involved studied it in an attempt to understand American politics.
Speaking of Trolls, Judge Roy Moore, the new Republican nominee in the Alabama Senate race, saw his Twitter followers almost double, many of those new ones are Russian. Cyrillic names, Cyrillic alphabets, following a white guy in Alabama who wants to put his religion above the Constitution.
Those are bots. Someone paid for them. Bots aren’t free.
INSIDE THE ADULT DAY CARE CENTER
THAT’S THE ACTUAL NAME OF THE STORY! This isn’t some tabloid, this is the Washington Post, the measuring stick of journalism, talking about the inner workings of the White House.
Simply put, it’s like dealing with a toddler, or someone with dementia.
PUERTO RICO, DEAD SOLDIERS, AND SEXUAL ASSAULT
Puerto Rico is an unmitigated disaster right now. It is the kind of logistical clusterfuck that will end with thousands sick, injured, or dead. As the situation deteriorates, so will whatever support Trump has left from moderates.
The bodies of four American Green Berets were returned home this past weekend. In a complete break with protocol over the last 20 years, instead of greeting the fallen soldiers when they arrived home, Donald Trump went golfing. He hasn’t even called their families yet.
My final piece of the night is about some news that broke recently, and is old at the same time. A couple weeks ago, stories came out about Harvey Weinstein’s lifetime of deplorable behavior. To date, about 32 women, many of them actresses that are household names, have come forward to describe what he put them through. Everything from verbal abuse, threats, groping, all the way up to rape. And he was able to get away with it due to his position.
Sound familiar?
The difference in this story so far is that Harvey is getting punished, though slowly.
Well, Trump’s time might be coming due.
BuzzFeed and NBC News report that Summer Zervos, a woman Trump allegedly assaulted while she was on his TV show, has subpoenaed Trump and his campaign for documents relating to her and and all of the other women that accused Trump during the campaign.
From Reddit user u/wil_daven_, here’s that list…
The list:
-
Ninni Laaksonen, former Miss Finland. “Trump stood right next to me and suddenly he squeezed my butt” in July 2006.
-
Jessica Drake. Said Trump grabbed and kissed her without consent, then offered her 10K for sex in 2006.
-
Karena Virginia. Says she was groped by Trump at the U.S. Open in 1998.
-
Cathy Heller. Says Trump grabbed her and attempted to kiss her at Mar-a-lago in 1997.
-
Summer Zervos. Apprentice contestant says Trump started kissing her and grabbing her breasts, began “thrusting his genitals.” 2007.
-
Kristin Anderson. Said Trump reached under her skirt and grabbed her vagina through her underwear in the early 1990s.
-
Jessica Leeds. Said Trump lifted up the armrest, grabbed her breasts and reached his hand up her skirt in the early 1980s.
-
Rachel Crooks. Says she was assaulted by Trump in an elevator in Trump Tower in 2005.
-
Mindy McGillivray. Says Trump groped her while she was attending a concert at Mar-a-lago in 2003.
-
Natasha Stoynoff. Says Trump pushed her against a wall and jammed his tongue down her throat at Mar-a-lago in 2005.
-
Jennifer Murphy. Apprentice contestant says Trump kissed her on the lips after a job interview in 2005.
-
Cassandra Searles. Says Trump grabbed her ass and invited her to his hotel room in 2013.
-
Temple Taggart McDowell. Former Miss Utah says Trump kissed her directly on the lips the first time she met him in 1997.
-
Jill Harth. Says Trump repeatedly sexually harassed her and groped her underneath a table in 1993.
This does not include Jane Doe or Maria Doe. These are the women that came forward during the campaign. And three of them have the same lawyer.
Yes, the woman who took down Bill Cosby and Gay Marriage in California, one of the women suing Donald Trump for defamation of character.
Why defamation and not sexual assault? Because the assault is past the statute of limitations, but the defamation took place last year.
Things are going to get weird on this front in the next couple weeks. Many of the same people who ignored Trump’s assaults are already attacking the Democratic leadership for accepting money from Weinstein over the last several years, without the slightest sense of irony.

That’s it for tonight. I’m not sure where this week is headed, but stories about Trump hating everyone from Mitch McConnell to Mike Pence, Puerto Rico, the sexual assaults, and now projections about other people’s health make me think something is coming. I don’t know what that is yet, but keep an eye out for some crazy stuff this week. I know I will.
