That’s it for the last few days.  I feel like I’m about to make another excuse for the lack of content, but dammit, it’s a good one.

As I mentioned recently, I’m in the middle of trying to sell a house, handle the bills for someone else, and I’m trying to find a potential sibling.  To further the last goal, I took a 23andMe test on the off chance that she also joined one of these programs.  I’m already on Ancestry, but no luck with that one.  I decided that since I already had an ancestry test, I might as well go with the health test as well.

The good news is the results came back a lot sooner than I expected.  The bad news is that the results show that I’m likely to have a wheat sensitivity or have celiac disease.  What’s worse is that I was scarfing down a pizza while reading that part.

The short version is that I have a couple genes that flipped from a T to a C or vice versa, and because of this it could cause my immune system to treat wheat like an infection.

I have a doctor’s appointment scheduled in a week or so, but in the meantime, I’m trying to go gluten free.  And it sucks.  Not the food replacements, but having to check EVERY FUCKING LABEL.  Seriously, Pringles has wheat in it.  Granola bars aren’t necessarily safe.  Fucking Rice Krispies has malt flavoring, which comes from barley.

I don’t think I’ve craved a pizza so much in my life.  At least I now have an excuse to try a gluten-free one. 😐

That’s it for the last couple days.  Once again, I haven’t been on Twitter or Social Media for the last few days.  Things have been crazy.  It doesn’t help when everyone in the house is sick.

My favorite news was Stephen Calk’s indictment.  I saw a story earlier in the day that Calk was up for a major post in the financial side of the government.  The New York Field Office was like “Nope, fuck that.”

Welcome to The Indicted Mr. Calk.  I hope bribing Paul Manafort was worth it.

That’s it for the last couple days.  I didn’t have time to go through the Rumor Mill in the last couple days.  I’ve been busy.

There’s a lot of frustration with how slow things are going on the Impeachment front, but for once I’m not freaking out.  Impeachment is no longer an if but a when, and we’re building to it.  We’ll get one shot at it, and I think the Contempt of Congress cases will be included.  Trump is ordering people to actively ignore subpoenas.  These orders will be at the top of his Obstruction of Congress charges.

Think about it…

Congress will get one shot at impeaching and removing Trump before the 2020 election.  Everything will need to be brought to the table.  All of his financial crimes, the witness tampering, the Russian and Saudi work, the abuse of immigrants and his inaction on Puerto Rico.  But what is one thing that is above party lines?

Telling Congress to go fuck themselves.  That move will cause everyone to get behind impeachment.

One of the things with Impeachment is that the articles, or charges, are voted on individually.  They aren’t voted on collectively unless Congress decides to do so.  If an Impeachment resolution passes the House Judiciary, the articles are voted on before a full session of Congress.  The charges can be voted on individually.  That way, if a lawmaker says that activity doesn’t reach criminality for all of them but only a couple, they can vote for those couple.

Think of it like a Grand Jury.  Let’s say there’s 20 charges that are being discussed.  Bob allegedly shot and killed Gary, then drove the getaway car into a McDonald’s seriously injuring Ethel and Edith.  Some jury members might question if there is enough evidence of Bob shooting Gary, but the store had security cam footage of Bob driving a car into the restaurant and hitting Edith and Ethel.  That jury member might not vote for the murder charge, but they will for the vehicular assault, property damage, and the other 10 related crimes.

That’s what I think we’re building to.  Trump might not be impeached and removed for Russia, but for Obstruction of Congress and Obstruction of Justice.  And tax evasion.  And money laundering.  And being a dick.

The first domino to fall is always the hardest.

 

It’s almost like we’ve been talking about money laundering for about two years.  Because we have.  What gets interesting in this story is that it directly implicates Deutsche Bank management in the cover up, the story mentions that others that are publicly exposed are involved, and that Kushner was paying individuals in Russia.  Not even companies, but people directly.

See why Trump is suing to keep this private?

That’s it for the last few days.  Like I’ve said for the last few posts, I’m trying to get back in the rhythm and find a nice balance.  This feels like a good start.  Writing is like working out.  If not done every day, it’s hard to get back in the routine, but if done on a schedule, a day doesn’t feel complete without it.

Keep an eye out on the Deutsche Bank stories and upcoming hearings and rulings from Team Trump fighting subpoenas.  They’re resorting to the same argument in all of them, and it’s a lousy one at that claiming that Congress has no authority to investigate unless there is a legislative purpose.  They’ve used this same argument multiple times and are flailing around wildly hoping that one of the judges takes their side.  If even one of them strikes it down, they don’t have a leg to stand on.  We should hear something on those in the upcoming days.
